2017"Party night". I have depicted the poem “Feestavond” by J.C.Bloem: the evening, the trees, the water, the lanterns, the reflection, the arm-in-arm couples (inspired by photos of my parents) with the couples as an extra layer, fireworks, fair and banquet hall.
Attic Windows
2017The painting “Attic Windows”, based on the stanza from the poem "Dapperstraat" by J.C.Bloem: “The clouds, never as beautiful as when they move across the sky, surrounded by attic windows”. Various roof/attic windows through and over each other, with different skies, atmospheres and colors. Everyone will have a different idea when reading the poem. Hence the diversity within the frame of the windows.
